My name is Nisreen Petiwala.  I graduated from Nowrosjee Wadia College with a bachelor's degree in psychology. In 2019, I completed my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Appalachian State University.

I have been teaching elementary school since 1994 and have had the privilege to teach in India, Dubai and the United States.  ​In 2016, I joined the North Carolina public school system. I enjoy inquiry-based teaching that promotes integration and collaboration within the classroom community.

I draw my teaching inspiration from my son. He inspires me to treat the students in my classroom with empathy and respect. The underlying philosophy that governs my class is Love and Logic.
